Trekking Trip New Year's Eve Sicily, Pantelleria
Another way of living is possible, you just need to know Pantelleria to understand it: this is why I choose to accompany you on this winter trek , when the doors open, the Pantelleria people embrace you, you taste the homemade Passito far from the shops, some typical delicacy is prepared for you that you are unlikely to find by chance, the clubs come alive with village festivals, people of all ages dance the liscio , the natural spas are uncrowded, the volcanic earth smokes thanks to the condensation, etc.
An Island from which you will hardly be able to leave without saying: I want to live here!
Among the volcanic nature, boundless blue sea where to swim , wind, open-air spas, and paths immersed in the Mediterranean scrub, we will meet between trekking and non-traditions, Pantellerians, men and women open to talking to us, defined as "foreigners".
We will pass by Mangiaforte who will not let us leave before having listened to his traditional recipes, and filled his cheeks and backpacks with typical sweets.
We will get to know and taste the famous Passito , the less commercial one.
The trekking excursions are expected to be long and intense, starting immediately after breakfast in the morning.
Your eyes will light up at the sight of the Mirror of Venus, so calm, firm, peaceful.
We will bathe dry in Benikulà , and not only that.
We will climb step by step to the top of the Big Mountain where we will learn about the volcanic nature of the black island. The wind will sweep away thoughts, doubts, questions.

Day 27 December – Meeting with Lasca la Randa at Pantelleria airport at 11.35 am.
Pickup and accommodation in the dammusi in Scauri, the most beautiful part of the island, sunset view ; visit to the Arco dell'Elefante and the first natural thermal area, dinner together
Day 28 – Trekking excursion passing through vineyards and the plain behind Montagna Grande, with a stop to learn about the traditional production of Passito. Return with a stop at the spectacular Balata dei Turchi. Waiting for us on the terrace of the dammuso is an aperitif based on Passito in front of the sunset
Day 29 – Trekking excursion to Montagna Grande and Monte Gibele Today we have an intense day of emotions, walking through holm oak and pine forests to reach the steep climb to Montagna Grande of volcanic origin. We go back down towards Favare. If the sea is calm we can also risk a special swim!
Day 30 – Trekking excursion Cala dei 5 Denti, Ondine lake of salt water coming from the sea, Punta Spadillo and Lago di Venere. The Lago Specchio di Venere (Mirror of Venus Lake), so called because it is said that the Goddess Venus looked at herself in it before meeting Bacchus, is a natural lake that occupies the crater of a volcano. In addition to the fantastic scenery of flora and fauna in which it is immersed, the lake is even more famous for its thermal mud, in fact there are pools from which water flows out at over 50 degrees. Covering your body with thermal mud is said to have beneficial properties.
A day almost entirely spent at sea after a stop at the famous Pasticceria Mangiaforte for typical Pantelleria sweets including the Bacio.
Day 31 Trekking excursion to the Benikulá Dry Bath, return in the afternoon and preparations for the New Year's Eve evening and dinner. First the usual aperitif among us of the Trekking New Year's Eve Trip group with local products.
Day 1 January – Last morning together before hugs.
