Program

DIVERSA-MIND Walking Trip. where time has stopped . Forget the frenzy, the cars, traffic lights, roads. Experience Marettimo during the traditional festival of the patron saint which lasts 3 days, including celebration, fire, food and songs.

An island protected with the Marine Natural Reserve of the Egadi Islands.

We will climb step by step to the summit of Monte Falcone. The wind will sweep away thoughts, doubts and questions.

Trekking excursion to Levanzo/Favignana planned.

Detail

Day 1 – Meeting with Lasca la Randa 12pm at the Port of Trapani (time to be confirmed according to 2024 timetables)

Ferry (about 90min), room accommodation, beautiful excursion at sunset towards Praia ai Nacchi.

Day 2 – Beautiful trekking through the woods and steep rocks that will take us to discover the southern part of the island up to the Punta Libeccio lighthouse with which you will have a first taste of the wild side of the island. (14km, 550m difference in altitude +). Optional bathroom. Optional aperitif and dinner.

Day 3 – One day trekking excursion to Levanzo with scheduled ferry. Levanzo immediately fascinates as soon as we approach it by ferry. A particular soul, the small town of colorful houses , will leave room for silent and suggestive excursions. From Cala Dogana we will travel along the western coast, from which we admire the magnificent sea stack. From here we will continue to Cala Fredda and Cala Minnola where it will be possible to observe a splendid and lush pine forest that extends to the sea (12km, 400m difference in altitude +). Dinner in Marettimo in a festive atmosphere .

Day 4 – Marettimo – Here is the big day with the most challenging trekking excursion. Following a paved path you go up to the so-called Roman Houses, near which there is a spring. Continue towards the North-West, passing the foot of Punta Campana and bypassing Pizzo del Capraro, to then arrive at M. Falcone q. 686 m , from which you can enjoy a splendid view of both sides of the island . Lunch at the summit. (15km, 900m difference in altitude +). A well-deserved rest and dinner in a festive village atmosphere, awaiting the spectacular Duminaria Festival in the village, with three fascinating bonfires set in honor of the saints.

Day 5 – M arettimo dresses up for the patron saint San Giuseppe . We take part in this traditional island festival, which attracts 1000 people. This is the most important occasion in which the strong sense of belonging to the island and attachment to traditions is manifested. For those leaving on March 19th, ferry to Trapani in the afternoon (book flights after 5pm). For the other participants the trip ends on the morning of March 20th.

Overnight stays will be in multiple rooms with private bathroom facing the sea.

The program may undergo variations due to weather conditions, such as daily program reversals, or a stay of a few days in Trapani with trekking excursions in its fascinating surroundings (Riserva Zingaro, Pizzo Falcone, Erice etc.) or a day in Favignana if due to relevant sea conditions the ferry does not leave on the scheduled day. Any one or more overnight stays, breakfast and dinner in Trapani is included in the fee as per the standard program.

The environmental hiking guide has the right to change the program at any time for safety and logistical reasons.

Any "improvised" activities will be carried out according to possibilities, which is why they are not mentioned in the program. It is part of the beauty of traveling to this island which is a way of life more than a place.

PREADESIONE TREKKING

Feast of St. Joseph

Punctually, on 17, 18, 19 March, the island of Marettimo for the Feast of San Giuseppe awakens from the torpor of the long winter months for the celebration of the patron saint which not only represents the strong religious bond of the islanders with the Saint, but also the solid emotional relationship with one's island, reinvigorated by the first warm rays of the sun.

The preparations keep the Marettimo community busy already in the weeks preceding the anniversary, but the festive atmosphere begins to be felt from the eve of the celebrations when, accompanied by the musical band, the flag with the effigy of the Saint is raised. Let the party begin!

17 MARCH: In addition to the traditional folklore games featuring the young people of Marettimo struggling with physical tests of an initiatory nature.

18 March : the day of 18 March proceeds with the Holy Mass and the novena to Saint Joseph and then concludes with the evocative evening rite of Duminiara: the lighting of three bonfires dedicated respectively to Jesus, Joseph and Mary.

19 MARCH: the streets of the town are the scene of two other rites with strong religious symbolism, that of the Alloggiate, recalling the flight into Egypt of the Holy Family, the most moving, and that of the Ammitata di Santi, the traditional lunch prepared by the local population for three sacred pilgrims played by the inhabitants of the island.

On the stage, located in the center of the main square, the sacred banquet is decorated with olive branches and wallflowers and laden with panuzzi, cucciddrati, petra mennula, cubbàita di giuggiulena, cassateddre di ricotta, traditional foods and desserts from the island. In the afternoon, the statue of San Giuseppe parades through the streets of the town to the sound of music and dialect invocations.

The long-awaited fireworks conclude the evening dedicated to the Patriarch.

Quando si sceglie di provare esperienze di più giorni,zaino in spalla e avventura la guida a cui decidi di affidarti è fondamentale. Claudia oltre ad essere preparata e disponibile è una persona sempre sorridente e attenta alle esigenze di ogni partecipante. I profumi dei luoghi toccati,e gli sguardi di ogni persona incontrata nella gte hanno reso questa esperienza magnifica.... Come direbbe Manfredi... Basta la salute e un paio di scarpe nuove e puoi gira tutto il mondo!!!! Grande lasca la randa,grazie Claudia e Roberto!!! Torno dall'Elba con la voglia di un vela trekking...... Trekking magnifico, come tutti sanno, che Claudia (anima e mente di Lasca la Randa e grande esempio di imprenditoria femminile) ha organizzato in ogni dettaglio e gestito con simpatia, professionalità e sicurezza (nonostante, nel nostro caso, un meteo complicato). I participated in the New Year's trek in Pantelleria. It wasn't just a holiday but it was a real journey. The information received by telephone from Claudia immediately gave me the impression of a well thought out and structured formula but in an informal mood. Happy to have decided to overcome the resistance of leaving alone, or without knowing anyone, once I landed in Pantelleria it was all a succession of positivity. Enchanting and ancestral places, changing and varied (from the peaks to the coasts) were the backdrop to six days of well-being, laughter and silence, sharing and reflection, effort and rest. Our group blended very well right from the start and for this thanks to Claudia and Roberto for the incessant and tireless desire to convey the essence of the island but above all for having been able to create a relational climate which was the true success of this Pantelleria 23/34. I have participated in several trips with Lasca La Randa, both velatrekking and New Year's Eve trekking in Pantelleria and I understood that when you leave with Claudia and Roberto it will not be "just" a trip but a unique and special experience. You find yourself living in an almost surreal world, not only made up of landscapes, unforgettable sunsets, trekking between mountains and cliffs, swimming in crystal clear waters, but also immersed in the local way of life, going to discover its characters, food and traditions . It's a profound journey, which ties you to the place you visit and the people you visit it with and helps you get to know yourself better. Claudia and Roberto have the ability to unite the participants who, although they have just met, find themselves experiencing the same emotions... nothing is left to chance, sharing comes first, and in an instant the group becomes close-knit. Every trip I have taken has been unique and has won a piece of my heart. A particular love goes to velatrekking, absolutely worth trying! Swimming at dawn before leaving for the excursion, Roberto coming to pick you up in a cove after the effort of trekking and enjoying the aperitif and the sunset in the middle of the sea, spotting dolphins and living in harmony with the sea have not price! There is only one downside to all this: it's addictive... as soon as you get back you can't wait to book another trip!!!

Claudia, great guide, positive person in every sense. From her words and the way she leads you along the paths, all her love for nature shines through, furthermore, given that sometimes when venturing into trekking we might run into some unforeseen events, she does not neglect anything for the purposes of the safety of the participants. A trip to celebrate an important birthday allowed us to meet this couple of eco-sustainable sailing and excursion professionals. Claudia is the hiking guide you wouldn't expect. I have done more than one daily trekking excursion with her and I will do as many again. With Claudia there is no shortage of professionalism, kindness and a lot of friendliness. What makes her unique is her tireless love for the protection of animals and the environment that surrounds us and her unfailing attentive look towards life understood as a journey to rediscover our true inner values, against the current, which perhaps may not correspond to what society would have wanted for us, or what we ourselves believed we wanted for ourselves, but which if we manage to follow them, will lead us towards immeasurable happiness. Booking Terms e
Cancellation

The booking will take place upon receipt of the signed contract and the bank transfer equal to the requested amount (50% at the time of booking, 50% within 40 days of the departure date).

Cancellation by the customer can only and exclusively occur via email and is to be considered valid only if there is written confirmation.

In case of withdrawal from the contract by the traveler before departure, for any reason, even unforeseen and unexpected, a penalty will be charged. The amount of penalties is quantified as follows:

from the day after booking up to 60 days no penalty, no refund, 100% paid voucher valid for 6 months from the departure date of the trip.
from 59 to 40 days before departure 100% penalty, no refund of the deposit, no voucher.
from 39 to 0 days before departure 100% penalty of the entire fee, no refund, no voucher.
