Un´atmosfera che riporta indietro nel tempo, fra anziani seduti davanti alle case, a giocare a carte al bar, asini che salgono e scendono per i vicoli dei paesini, persone che raccolgono la maggiorana, sorrisi gratuiti.
Se arriverete a mettere piede in quest’isola sarà poi difficilissimo tornare a casa senza piangere..

Giorno 0 - Viaggio per raggiungere Atene, pernotto in hotel al Pireo, prima conoscenza del gruppo
Day 1 – Ferry Piraeus-Amorgos (reservations will follow) where a taxi will take us to the beginning of our adventure: Arkesini. Accommodation in the room, and walk. Today's walk takes us to the westernmost part of the island, the beach of Kalotaritissa, or Ag. Anna, climbing up the mountain to return to "home" (6-10 km, 300m altitude difference +). Possibility of swimming. Dinner in a delicious typical tavern.
Day 2- The itinerant crossing begins : we leave Arkesini to head towards Katapola (15km, 500m difference in altitude +). A spectacularly mixed itinerary between panoramic views, donkeys and rocks takes us first to Ancient Arkesini , then above Katapola, one of the two ports of the island. After having filled our eyes with this panoramic view, we go down to the port to have lunch in the early afternoon in a small tavern. We are in Amorgos and times don't matter here. Coffee and free time for swimming while we admire some small sailing boats moored in the port.
Giorno 3- Colazione in un cafenion prima di rimettersi lo zaino sulle spalle: una salita breve ma intensa ci porta sul tetto dell´isola, lassú dove i vecchi mulini a vento dominano. Pranzo nello zaino, ci dirigiamo in discesa verso la famosa spiaggia di Sant´Anna con la chiesetta da matrimonio, prima di salire allo spettacolare monastero di Hozoviotissa, lo scorcio piú fotografato dell´isola. Immaginatevi un monastero bianco incastonato tra le rocce della montagna, davanti a sé il mare da dominare, sotto a sé tanti gattini e scale bianche per raggiungerlo. Risaliamo alla Chora, vista del tramonto prima di scendere a rifocillarsi fra i vicoli di questo piccolo borgo colorato di celeste e fuxia di bouganville. Incrociamo le dita e speriamo di trovare musica greca dal vivo. (10km, 700m dislivello +)
Giorno 4- Giornata lunga ed intensa. Dopo la colazione nel piccolo bar della Chora e spesa per il pranzo itinerante. Oggi attraversiamo l´isola nella sua parte piú stretta da Chora per raggiungere Aegiali, secondo porto dell´isola. Camminando vista mare, con vento in volto, raggiungiamo luoghi disabitati, dove rocce capre e asini padroneggiano. Diversi scalini in discesa ci portano alla destinazione: facoltativo aperitivo/brindisi e bagno in mare. Ultimo km per raggiungere nostro alloggio a Toularia, minuscolo paesino da cui é possibile vedere il tramonto. Cena presso deliziosa taverna tipica. (17km, 700m dislivello +)
Giorno 5 - Colazione all´unico cafenion aperto, camminata ad anello partendo dall´alloggio a Toularia verso Langada ed il meraviglioso Monastero San Giovanni (17km, 700m dislivello +)
Giorno 6 - Colazione all´unico cafenion aperto del paesino gestito da un anziano signore, scesa a piedi lungo un piccolo sentierino che ci porta ad Aegiali. Colazione fra i vicoli ancora dormienti della mattina, fra gatti che fanno la fila davanti ai pescherecci in attesa della loro colazione. Pullman/taxi da Aegiali al porto di Katapola (1h)

Day 7 – Departures with flights to your home, free time
Overnight stays will be in double/triple/quadruple rooms in studios.
The program is indicative. The environmental hiking guide has the right to change the program at any time for safety and logistical reasons.
Any "improvised" activities will be carried out according to possibilities, which is why they are not mentioned in the program. It is part of the beauty of traveling to this island which is a way of life more than a place.

Piraeus/Athens can be reached from Athens Airport by: taxi, metro line 3 blue (€10), suburban train or by the Express bus X96 (directions at the time of convocation)
Travel Fee and Cash Fee Include:
€270 travel fund fee: The travel fund fee is calculated on past trips, is non-refundable, therefore entirely necessary, and is intended for on-site payments and travel management, to be paid to the guide upon departure.
Excluding breakfasts, 2 dinners, packed lunches and water, extras for dinner, taxi/bus Amorgos, transfer costs to reach Piraeus and vice versa, return ferry approximately €160, and everything not specified in the "Includes" section.

The booking will take place upon receipt of the signed contract and the bank transfer equal to the requested amount (50% at the time of booking, 50% within 40 days of the departure date).

Technical trekking clothing, 30-40 l backpack for itinerant trekking (max recommended full weight 7kg), high Goretex trekking shoes, waterproof, rainproof and windproof shell, hooded sweatshirt, water bottle of at least 2 liters in total, head torch, beauty bag and all the personal essentials, beach towel, swimsuit, hat, backpack cover.
